CAJONS

Originating from the tea plantations of Peru, the cajon, accurately spelt cajón (with an accent), has become synonymous with the sound of flamenco music. However, the sound has become popular in just about all music genres.

51.CAJ04 Zambo Cuban cajon by DG - With variable snare tension, this cajon produces a wide range of tones and voices. The Zambo cajon produces more mellow snaps, due to the use of nylon-wound snares and bass tones are warmer.  Release the snares via the easy to reach adjustment knob and you produce tones closer to congas and bongos. KDJ103 Kambala Professional Djembe 10" x 19" - This 10-inch model is ideal for solo work, producing a higher fundamental bass tone and sharp slap strokes.  It also makes a great choice for serious drumming groups where most players are younger and require smaller drums.  These are professional instruments, reflected in their price, but still represent excellent value for money.

BUCFDJ12 Bucara Fibreglass Djembe 12" - Although 12-inches in diameter, these drums weigh a fraction of their wooden counterparts. High quality goat skin heads, rope-tuned to high tension produce bright, sharp accents.  Thin fibreglass bodies produce a deep (and loud) resonant, controlled bass tone that is always in balance with the high and slap tones.  A great all-round  drum and unbeatable value.
