Originating from the famous Wuhan region of China, Dream cymbals and gongs are manufactured using centuries old, traditional methods, with the added benefit of 21st Century quality control.

Producing rich, dark sounds, these are the cymbals and gongs the other manufacturers imitate at much higher prices and we consider, much inferior sound.

Lion Traditional Chinese (China) Cymbals

With an aggressive, raw attack and very rapid decay, these dark-sounding cymbals personify the 'China Type' Chinese cymbal that other manufacturers try to imitate. They produce strong, punctuated accents and put a full-stop in your playing.

Every cymbal is hand made from start to finish, so every cymbal is different. Great with sticks and mallets.

Feng Wind Gongs

These flat profile gongs produce a rich, sonorous tone, with a rapid build and rapid decay. Deeper and darker than traditional Chau Gongs (Tam Tams), Dream Feng Wind Gongs are full of diverse, rich tones and are truly dramatic and dynamic in character.

Available in a range of sizes from the tiny, high-pitched 6-inch diameter effects gong, through to the mighty 51-inch diameter, there's a Wind Gong to meet everyone's need.

Played with a gong beater, these beautiful instruments also produce a cornucopia of sound with sticks, mallets & brushes.

Chau Traditional Gongs (Tam Tams)

The Dream 'Black Spot' Chau Gong is warmer in tone than the Feng Gong, with longer sustain and stronger mid to high tones. However, Chau gongs still keep that deep mysterious, under tone. These are the traditional orchestral gong or tam tam.

Available from only 6-inches in diameter up to 52-inches in diameter, these gongs are great for special effects with an 'Eastern' flavour. The smaller diameter gongs produce a pronounced and sustained tone and are great for effects.

Supplied with a beater, these gongs also produce a wealth of different sounds if played using sticks, mallets or brushes.

Jin Ban (Tone Bend Up) & Tiger (Tone Down) Gongs

More esoteric sounding, the smaller Jin Ban gong is the only Chinese gong to have a tone that 'bends' form low to high when struck in the middle. Used frequently with Chinese opera; available in diameters from 7-inches to 9-inches. The larger Tiger gong's tone bends in the opposite direction, from high to low and is available in sizes between 12-inches and 14-inches. Two very different gongs.

Setting new standards in tuning accuracy, Dream produce a vast array of sizes and tunings. Available singly or in tuned sets, Machined-Bao (M-Bao) nipple gongs produce a sustained pure note, reminiscent of the famous Burmese gongs.

Starting with A#5, sizes progress to the mighty C#2. Supplied with gong beater. Call for sizes and prices. Examples include:
